Talk about a trip of a lifetime.... our Weka adventure was it! The best guides (Ken, Mel and Elder), the best mix of biking and hiking and wonderful accommodations / food, all while experiencing the majestic beauty of New Zealand. It is easy to see why Mel, Ken and Elder show such pride in their company and country!

This was our first trip to New Zealand and we were not oversold on its beauty and splendor. My name for the south island is "The land of a thousand waterfalls" Every aspect of the journey was wonderful. Our guides Laura, Fiona made the adventure for the two of us. We are 64 and 60 and while reasonably fit, we are not avid outdoorsmen. I had a little apprehension about certain aspects of our adventure, however our guides alleviated all of that and then some. We were able to see parts of New Zealand that quite simply could not have been seen any other way. When we faced some challenges our guides were right there to help us out and encourage us on our journey and it was so worth it. This should be on everybody's bucket list if you enjoy the great outdoors!

I expected it to be beautiful, but not this spectacular. According to our wonderful guide Alvaro the weather was the best of the season so far. Sunshine glistening off the glaciers with blue skies and amazing majestic mountain views or lakes, waterfalls and the high peaks of the Andes.
Alvaro and the local guides, Andrea, Paulina and Cristian were great. They were willing to share their knowledge of the beautiful outdoors, the history of the countryside, the culture and the political climate. They were all very attentive to our needs and always tried to accommodate our wishes. They and the beauty of Chile and Argentina really made for a wonderful Patagonian experience.
The lodging accommodations were clean and comfortable. The food ranged from exceptional to very adequate depending on our location and remoteness. Our host at the Patagonia Queen in El Calafate was wonderful and went over and above to ensure our stay was delightful.
A truly amazing adventure.

An amazing trip: penguins, guanacos, glaciers, kayaking between icebergs, the views on the W trek, the views period, and we had SUN and just a bit of wind. Yes, amazing.

What a wonderful trip! Ellie, Elder and Lucy provided for us a trip of a lifetime, it was magical. They were exceptional guides, caring for our every need and worked tirelessly from morning to night. We received excellent commentary on the culture, wildlife and scenery of New Zealand. We didn't have to think much of where we needed to be or what we would eat, all was taken care of by our wonderful guides. We were blessed with great weather and awesome traveling companions, we just "clicked". We are already talking of a reunion! Thanks for such a great time!!

Great overview of the North Island— coastal beach hikes, sand boarding, mountain biking, Mauri cultural experiences and the Tongariro Crossing. A great mix of NZ adventure.

My recent Condor trip was amazing, fantastic, beautiful, challenging - what else to say but just do it!! Our guide, Zac, was thoughtful, always helpful, always positive and encouraging, showing his love for guiding and Patagonia. Our group of 8 gelled quickly and had a blast-filled two weeks whether hiking, eating, riding in the van, laughing easily together. We were incredibly lucky with the weather with sun-filled days throughout our two weeks! Would happily plan to travel again with Active - a well-organized itinerary with great guides, places to stay, exceptional meals. Thanks for an exceptional travel experience!!

Our guides did a spectacular job of making sure we saw their beloved country from the perspective of a local, and not just a tourist dropping in. It felt a lot like camp for grown ups and not just the overview we had on the cruise ship portion of our journey.

The Condor trip was a trip of a lifetime! Completing the "W" trek in Torres del Pines National Park was one of my favorite accomplishments. The trek was difficult and challenging but the scenery was well worth it. The kayaking experience on Grey Lake among the icebergs was another highlight. I was sad to leave Chile because I didn't think the experience and beauty could be matched but I was wrong. The day visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate and day hikes in El Chalten with stunning views of the Fitz Roy and nearby mountains were stunning as well. If you're up for the challenge, this could be the trip of a lifetime.

The Iguana trip with Active was my fourth one with the company. I keep coming back as this trip like the others gave me a wonderful experience I will remember for many years. Peru and the Galapagos Islands were wonderful and unique in their own way. Wilson our guide in Peru was amazing and made our trip enjoyable. The local team in Galapagos Island was so resourceful, solving any issue - without us even noticing. I highly recommend anyone to take the Iguana trip - you will not regret it

From the minute we met Ruby and Dan to our final good-byes...there was a BIG smile on my face! This trip was the best ever - with only 4 in our group (plus our incredible guides), we all felt as though we had the best private tour of the incredible South Island New Zealand! Everyday was filled with wonder-the hiking, the landscape, the delicious meals Ruby made for us (Yummmy)the fun of traveling in Bill (our bus) and the professionalism, yet fun guides!!! Lots of laughter on this trip! I did not realize how much of the South Island we would see and experience! The timing and mix of hiking and traveling was absolutely PERFECT! The accommodations were all nice....even funky Wonderland! Active Adventures is 5 Star - 10/10 (as Ruby would say!) and Dan would agree with “Yeeeaahâ€. Thank you to all the staff from beginning to end, it was a real pleasure traveling with your amazing, well organized company! I am definitely telling all my friends!

We had a terrific trip. Great guides, beautiful hikes and scenic country side. Activity level was just right. This is the best way to cover most of the South Island on the Tui trip. Highly recommend!

Everything about the trip far surpassed our expectations: the day to day excursions, the beauty of the country and its people, the accommodations and the food. I can't say enough about our guides: their attention to every detail, their energy and skill, attentiveness to all our needs, their stories fact and folklore, and of course their amazing culinary skills.
