As the title says, you are active all day, dawn to dusk. Most days there is no time to even sit back and read a newspaper. Breakfast 7-7:30 am, on the road by 8:30am........some days more time spent on the bus travelling to certain destinations. Supper is somewhat late in the day but that can't be helped. I found no time for anything but bed after eating....early bird gets the worm!! Kudos (sp?) to the guides and their cooking skills. The food was great, healthy and never-ending....better than any of the restaurants we went to. The comraderie on the bus between everyone was great....I miss my "family"! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sebastian, our trip leader, was very good at solving problems with logistics, and other things. And keeping us on task.

You must see for yourself snowcovered mountains, crystal clear streams, soaring condor in the sky, hear thunder talk of the glacier, taste calafate and take in the beauty of this land and people. It's Patagonia.

This was my first visit to NZ and after spending two weeks on the North Island I joined the RIMU group for a truly memorable trip. Our outstanding guides, DK and Elder, often kept us busy from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. I was surprised by the diverse landscape; it is not just green hills and sheep or glaciers. Beaches, lakes, rivers, forests, lagoons, vineyards, arid areas, grasslands, alpine ridges - New Zealand has it all. The 3-day trek is a great bonding experience. It may be more challenging than you think if you are not used to hiking in rugged alpine terrain. The entire trip was very well organized, or as someone in the group said, it runs like a well oiled machine. In no small part, this was due to our two guides. They managed to be laid back and professional at the same time. They are also excellent cooks and prepared many of the groups' meals. I say without hesitation that some of those dinners could have been served at an upscale restaurant. Finally, the camaraderie among the travellers was wonderful. But it all starts with the guides' attitude and spirit which will be reflected back by the group. Well done guys!

Our trip to the Galapagos with Pablo was outstanding. From the moment we met in San Cristobal to our departure from Santa Cruz, our trip was educational, entertaining and engaging. Pablo was a phenomenal guide with deep knowledge of the islands. His guidance and direction was crucial in the success of the trip. He was able to accommodate all participants regardless of age, fitness or interests. I whole-heartedly recommend the Tortuga trip with Pablo.

The Nelson Lakes National Park is spectacular. The views on the trails are so vast, there are no words to adequately describe them. The Angelus hut is well worth the effort up the Cascade trail. I saw the Southern Cross and Milky Way just before dawn. This place was the highlight of the trip for me and will stay with me forever.

Breath-taking views and heart-warming hospitality! Another indelible Active trip. When I lost in boredom and mundane, Active trips strike me how beautiful the world is and how happy I was when travelling with Active folks.

The guides--Kate and Kirsten--make or break a trip and in the case of our trip, they MADE the trip. I have total admiration for these gals.

The trip was amazing. The itinerary was very well planned and of course New Zealand is a country unlike any other. The one factor that brought all of this together and made the trip really unforgettable were the guides Katie and Clara. I have been working in the hospitality industry for 20 years at some the worlds best restaurants and hotels. In my opinion the knowledge, kindness, positive attitude and fun spirits of both Katie and Clara were what brought the trip from good to amazing.

Having been to Galapagos with Active we were excited to sign up to the Condor. This trip was stunning. As usual Active had a brilliant guide, seamless organisation, superb food and just thought of everything. Paddling with icebergs, amazing panoramas, hiking the glacier, exciting and challenging trekking and just great fun every day! This is a brilliant trip.

We experienced it all - sunny skies, and rain and wind that almost blew us off the tracks; days that pushed us hard, and times to relax; a luxury hotel (well, one night anyway) and a basic sheep herders cottage (which might well have been the best accommodations on the whole trip). And throughout we were led (and, on most days, fed) by two terrific guides: Michelle and Alex. They knew everything; were incredibly attentive to, and patient with, us; and could not have been nicer. And the group (all 15 of us) meshed extremely well. It was an adventure that exceeded expectations - and those expectations were high!
