Our family had an awesome experience with Austin Adventures. Our guides were OUTSTANDING!! We can't say enough about them. David, Becky and Jackie brought amazing energy to the trip while looking out for everyone. They made the trip seamless with their attention to detail and ability to work together. They shared their knowledge, showed us incredible views that left us in awe and offered lots of side activities to bring the group together! By the end of the trip we shared laughs and tears and no one was ready to go home. Thank you for a great trip! -Myers Family

I can barely imagine a trip that would be more FUN, interesting, beautiful and seamlessly run than the Ultimate Galapagos adventure! There was obviously so much thought put into the timing, safety, comfort and excitement of each and every element of the trip. The food and accommodations were perfect, and everything was explained so well each day according to the “Superplan†of our fabulous guide, Pepo. His knowledge of the islands, flora and fauna was impressive, and his personal experience made it all extra-interesting. He was very warm, and his English was impeccable.
A lot was packed into each and every day, because there was such minimal time waiting around for transportation, food, etc. We truly felt like royalty. All of the drivers, boat captains, dive master and wonderful assistant guide, Paulo, were so friendly and helpful. They set a positive, fun tone that our entire travel group enjoyed!
We booked this trip very last-minute, and all of the Active Adventures staff was super helpful in making sure that we knew exactly what to expect, answering questions, etc. Thank you, thank you, for a trip of a lifetime, we hope to travel with you again someday!

Our trip to the Galapagos was AMAZING to say the least. Going through Active Adventures was the best way to experience the Galapagos. Being able to be immersed in the culture of the islands to include the food, people and wildlife was the way to go. The amount of wildlife we saw far exceeded any previous expectations. The snorkeling experiences were off the chart also and our guides were very knowledgeable, caring and helpful in learning about the life on the islands.

This was our first trip with Active adventures. They are extremely organized and very professional. Our guid Pepo was amazing as well as the assistant guide Paulo. You could tell that they had years of experience in the most efficient way to move our personal items. The food choices and restaurants were great with no complaints. My main takeaway was they are very active, get up early and keep moving, but into get everything in that is what it takes. If there was a tour or something you didn’t want to do just stir it out. Bottom line is Active Adventures did a great job.

14 years ago, we took our 4 kids to Yellowstone with Austin Adventures. It was literally, the best vacation we ever had as a family. On that strength, my wife and I booked the Alaska trip to celebrate my 60th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a blast. Fairly hard hikes for my old knees but I was able to do it all. Austin picked exactly the right level of difficulty for me. Very variable weather, which defines Alaska, but it didn't dampen our experience too much. I am still trying to process the vastness of the spaces I spent time in and the wonder and awe engendered by the unbelievable views, many of which could not have been gotten without the sweat equity of hiking. The key was the great care taken by our guides, Justin and Liz, who worked in perfect sync even though we were the first group to do this itinerary. They were both amazing. They are individually kind, gentle, and extremely knowledgeable. They were attentive to every detail; I even got scolded by Liz for trying to help carry something once. I cannot say enough about the quality of these guides, they were the key to making this trip as special as it was. Over all, another great vacation. I look forward to my next chance to travel with Austin Adventures.

I had a fantastic trip with Austin Adventures to Alaska. Our guides Liz and Justin were amazing!
First of all everything was included, my favorite part was that they set up a table for you the morning of a hike to make your lunch. I made a turkey sandwich with dijon mustard, and all of the fixings. There were fresh grapes, and just about anything you can imagine to take along for lunch and snacks.
They started off the trip with a cruise through Resurrection Bay in Seward. The trip was great, lots of Humpback whales, it was such a thrill to watch these beautiful animals. Later that day we visited the Alaska SeaLife Center, which was amazing, I loved the Puffins.
The next day we hiked the Harding Icefield trail, it was a great day, even in the rain!
I also loved the flight to the Roof Glacier, what a spectacular way to spend a morning.
The hike to the Triple Lakes was a lot of fun, again, with the great lunches that we packed in the morning.
Did I mention that Liz would pull out a silver tray in the middle of a hike with snacks, I loved the dried mangos.
There was so much more, and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

My trip to Yellowstone and Grand Titons with Awesome Adventures was fantastic!

Everything was beautifully laid out and highly organized. In addition, we were pampered with excellent service and amazing food (picnic lunches were outstanding!!!)

We were also surprised with several added, little extra touches like goodie bags outside our hotel room door one night, amazing snack spreads in between events and surprise souvenir gifts at the end of our journey!

Both of our guides were kind, gracious and incredibly knowledgable! They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way.

What a journey, and what an adventure. One of the best trips I’ve ever had!

I can’t wait to go on another awesome, Austin Adventure

Yellowstone is a magical place with so many biospheres. It is hard to get bored with the beauty behind every turn. On one side of the van you would see forests, fields or water then on the other side you would see a moon scape. Every bit of God's earth was stunning in color, smell and sound. However, the food was way underwhelming. The Canyons being the worst food. Yellowstone Lodge being the longest wait (40 minutes in line to get food). I'm not sure if it is due to the masses of people they feed but other than the lunches prepared by our guides & 2 meals, everything else was a buffet. The food was either way overdone, lukewarm, or down right uneatable. This was a huge difference and big detractor for me from my previous Austin Adventure experience where we ate with the guides at each meal and had great food at all meals. We ate breakfast and dinner with the others on the trip but the guides didn't join us. I wish they had joined. On a previous trip, our guides ate each meal with us giving us updates on weather, clothing suggestions, meeting times and reviewing the agenda. I was able to relax and enjoy the journey on the previous trip. Not so much on this trip. The hikes chosen were spectacular. We saw bison beyond number, elk, 3 wolves, deer, osprey, a river otter, a grizzly mom with 2 cubs, and a black bear. I wish we had more time in the Hot Springs area. I hope Austin Adventures wins the contract back at the lake lodge.

Austin Adventures had every detail thought out and taken care of. We are not a big hiking family and I was a little nervous for this trip. However, I knew this is how I wanted to experience Yellowstone. Bryson and Zach were rock stars and handled everything with utmost professionalism. The kids had a blast meeting two other families - they even started a group chat! Every detail was taken care of along the way and we were treated like royalty. I mean, who has taco Tuesday in the middle of a national park with every topping you could imagine?! Austin Adventures (Zach the chef) sure does!

This trip was just what I needed! It gets you up out of your seat and into nature through hikes, bike rides, and water ways. We had a variety of ages and physical abilities on our trip and the guides were so accommodating and great at setting a comfortable pace for everyone. They fed us fantastic food and really knew the area. You could tell they enjoyed showing off their corner of the world and they were excellent hosts thank you very much Moose and Derrick!

Autumn is one of eight grandchildren in our family. At their 10th birthday, each grandchild chose a weeks vacation with my wife and I. Autumn’s pick, she loves sloths, Costa Rica. Our previous experience with Austin Adventures was truly outstanding. Ella, now 12, picked the Yellowstone Trip with Austin and we loved it.
This Costa Rica trip was just as wonderful as the Yellowstone Trip two years ago. First and foremost, our guide, Alejandro Sanchez was beyond great! We were concerned since we wanted Autumn to share her experience with other young families on this trip but we ended up being the only ones. Three of us and Alejandro. He spent quality time explaining things and describing the various animals, birds and other wild life throughout the 7 day excursion. We loved this trip so much that we are considering scheduling something in the next few years with our entire family. Costa Rica is a beautiful country and the people are very welcoming. My granddaughter Autumn, my wife Landy and I only have one word to describe our experience on this trip. OUTSTANDING!
