The perfect combination of cycling, hiking and water based activities concentrated in a specific region of Alaska! The meals were soooo good and we were so well taken care of. Our guides, Jessi and Olivia, were awesome - they were well prepared and flexible/adaptable to the group's needs. Overall, a great active trip in such a beautiful location.

Our entire family enjoyed this trip. Perfectly planned. The highlights were the guides Cathy and David. The gorgeous Yellowstone park was the backdrop for their wonderful tour.

Our Yellowstone family adventure was amazing! The trip was extremely well planned and the execution was flawless. Our guides, Dave and Kathy, were friendly, knowledgeable, funny and had great rapport with one another and our whole crew. It made our whole trip perfect! The accommodations were great and the activities were perfectly paced to meet the needs of our whole group. Kathy’s Kitchen and Dave’s Diner went above and beyond to meet the needs of our son with a food allergy. We can’t thank them enough. Best trip ever!

Our family of four wanted to commemorate a handful of significant life events (graduation, retirement, etc) and thought this itinerary aligned well with our values and interests. It was the trip of a lifetime! We had never gone on a group vacation with strangers before and were nervous about how the dynamic would be, but from the beginning our cohort seemed to gel and get along. Our guides, Gregory and Ivan, facilitated this environment. They kept the group safe, and were knowledgable about the local culture, history, and environment.
The hiking was unbelievable: the Dolomites are a must-see, not only for their natural beauty but also the cultural heritage they contain. Whoever planned this itinerary did a phenomenal job of selecting our routes and accommodations. It was definitely the most plush adventure we'd ever been on, complete with mid-morning espresso, four course dinners at refugios, and daily sauna sessions. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

The Dolomites are a unique, spectacular landscape to hike and explore. Active and our guides, Greg and Ivan, crafted a challenging and memorable journey through the gorgeous mountains and meadows of the region.

This was my first time doing an alpine adventure that involved snow. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction into mountaineering! I left the planning worry behind and just enjoyed the adventure that awaited!

Father/Son trip- highly recommend. My 19 year old son and I did the Tour du Mont Blanc via Active with Jean Marc and Hollly(both outstanding!) and we can’t say enough about the trip. Everything from meals, hotels, transportation and guide services were top notch.

I would highly recommend this trip for those able to do so physically and financially. It was a very challenging physical trip but my wife and self pushed ourselves to complete it. The tour is not cheap but having the burden removed from worrying about individual logistics, lodging, meals, problem resolution made the expenditure well worth it.

The Dolomites just make your senses soar: think irish-green meadows stippled by endless wildflowers, snowcapped peaks and skies that shift from morning bluebird to metal grey bluster by late afternoon. Guides Greg and Ivan were a dream team: they managed logistics, ably handled mishaps from an unsoled boot to an unhinged puppy/bike encounter, and shared their enthusiasm and knowledge of the gorgeous Ladin land, people and history. Top it all with crazy good food and espresso wherever we landed. My only regret is that the trip ended.

Gregory and Ivan were terrific guides. The hiking was beautiful. I loved learning about the world war, one history. All the hotel accommodations were great, and the refugios were an unexpected and delightful treat. Tons of good regional food and wine and I look forward to traveling with ACTIVE ADVENTURES again

I've wanted to visit Galapagos for years. It finally came true with Active's professional services and tour guide. I absolutely enjoyed all the activities (biking, hiking, kayaking and snorkeling) in this tour and learnt a lot from the local guide, Pepo.

The Galapagos had been on our travel radar for years because of our interest in nature and conservation. Having already done a trip with Austin Adventures to Bryce and Zion, it was a no brainer for us to go with Active Adventures to the Galapagos. Besides the obvious incredible wildlife and nature, what really sets this trip apart is the local guide, Pepo. His knowledge, experience, and welcoming personality enrich this trip in ways that cannot be overstated. Doing a land-based tour was also a plus, as we were able to experience local culture and meet and support Galapagueños. Don't think twice about this trip, you will love it.

Tex and Jose, our guide and driver were superb. They were knowledgeable and took great care of us. Communication with AA before the trip was bad. It seems that there is a disconnect within the company. I'm also wondering how often the managers from new Zealand visit costa rica? The bus was clean but old.

We experienced more in Yellowstone in just 6 days with Austin Adventures than we ever could have done on our own, even if we had several weeks. Everything was very organized, and our guides did an exceptional job ensuring we maximized our time in the park. Traveling with teenagers can be tough, but our guides made it fun for them.

What an amazing tour trip!! Our guides, Moose(Michael), Derrick, and Nicole were so knowledgeable, kind, and professional. They were always organized, hard-working, and positive throughout our entire week! The places they took us to hike, bike, raft, eat, and lodge were top notch! We had a dream trip and would most definitely recommend & use Austin Adventures in the future!

Our experience in New Zealand was beyond anything I could have hoped for. I knew that we would do and see cool things, but I had no idea just how great every single detail would be. Every day was a new adventure with exciting things to do and see. Our guides went to great lengths to also provide experiences beyond the itinerary - whether it was a stop at a great local café or shop, inside knowledge of the area to make the most of downtime, or showing support and gently pushing us to be brave. Plus the food was incredible! I felt like our group was family and put so much trust in our guides. Emma and Nicola were expert level at everything they did and truly made this trip a dream.
