The trip fully met my needs and Alisa and Steve were exceptional. Weather conditions limited some of our activities, but for me, it was all OK. Our group was made up of many different personalities, covering the spectrum. Again, Steve and Alisa did the best they could to cover all bases to see that all were happy.. Below you ask about a "rewards Program"--I am a solid supporter of Austin Adventures without the need for a discount or reward--I recommend Austin "without reservation".

This was my first tour group vacation with everything being included and overall, I was very happy with the food selections and the activities. Our two guides, Steve and Alisa were fantastic!! We did have one lunch experience that didn't go well, but there were no other options at the time - all of the other lunch and dinner spots were great. The one issue I had at the end of our trip was the cancellation of the dog sledding. While I completely understand that it was a weather issue, it changed everything for that day. We also had that activity included in our payment, so we lost out on the experience and the money. I have been a concierge for many years, so I understand that, but it would have been nice if AA could have paid for our one night on our own since we didn't get to go dogsledding. The dinners would have been a lot less than the dog sledding. This was the most expensive trip that I've ever taken for this short of a time, but I knew that I couldn't have gone without a group like this. It was really nice having someone pre-plan the meal spots, drive and get all of the equipment and take care of tips along the way. Experiencing Yellowstone in the winter with a small group was just wonderful!!!

The Active Adventures Tortuga trip provided great mix and range of activities. We got to experience the Galapagos in a variety of ways, from land and sea. We saw more wildlife than we could have imagined, including thousands of marine iguanas and sea lions. The vistas ranged from austere lava fields to lush highland forests. The food and accommodations were great. If you like fresh fruit and seafood, the Galapagos have your number. The logistical arrangements went without a hitch, which is surely a testament to a lot of work behind the scenes at Active Adventures. In the front of the scenes, Pablo and Paolo were world-class guides. Highly recommended.

Absolutely a fantastic trip!. We were a group of 10 good friends and our 'brilliant' guides Elder & Steve became part of our wider family! They were informative, entertaining, anticipated our every need (plus great cooks) making our holiday even more special. Our 5-day adventure went seamlessly, including the fortune of great weather throughout. What a magnificent country we live in - we were in awe of the stunning scenery & experience!

Most awesome trip. The airlines tried their best to ruin our experience both coming and going. However, once we got to Pepo all clouds disappeared and the sun shined brightly. Fabulous guide. Can’t say enough - knowledgeable, caring, respectful, great leader, passionate about the islands. Best I’ve had…ever. I’d keep him on the payroll!
Wonderful food & accommodations. Loved all the local fish entrees and the fresh fruit was
to die for. Popcorn in the soup!?
    Crazy but fun.
Wildlife the best. Unexpected landscapes like (the “tunnelsâ€) were truly amazing. One of the best trips ever.
    Thanks!

We were a group of 10 ... we loved our Fiordland experience! The Takahe trip gave us a taste of Fiordland and we are keen to return! Our guides were very knowledgeable and a whole lot of fun to be around.

Our Jaguar Trip to Peru was outstanding in every respect. Our guides combined competence with good cheer and flexibility. They shared interesting information about the sites while simultaneously adjusting activity levels as needed for each individual in our group. The entire experience was fabulous, from learning about other cultures and micro-climates to the accommodations to the quality and quantity of food. Active Adventures puts on a first class trip and I can't wait to go on another with them. Highly recommend!

Besides all the amazing flora and fauna we had the superior information and support from our two guides. Food was almost always five star and the accommodations quite comfortable.

Our Chilean Condor adventure was excellent from start to finish. The trip was brought to life by the expert engagement of guide Alvaro Jaime, who worked day and night to make our trip the best it could be. He is motivated, well-prepared, personable, caring, and compassionate. Assistant guides Roberto and Andrea were also excellent, and brought joy and knowledge to our W trek. The itinerary was well-thought out, and we enjoyed every day.

My husband and I have completed a few hiking/adventure trips, but the Takehe would have to be one of our favourites now. The itinerary was exceptional with a taste of three of the best walks in NZ, plus a Queenstown hike with incredible views, and an amazing Doubtful Sounds cruising experience. We were so pumped by our experiences that we added a couple of additional excursions (helicopter and paragliding flights) on the fly, and almost doubled the length of one of the walks because we were having so much fun! Our guides - Elder and John, were exception. They took great care of our group and nothing was a problem. The meals they prepared were delicious and nutritious. We can highly recommend this trip with Active Adventures - we certainly had an adventure of a lifetime!

This was truly one of the best trips ever, thanks to the amazing itinerary, remote and unspoiled landscapes, unique and plentiful wildlife, seamless logistics, and excellent fellow travelers, but most of all because of our incredible guide, Pablo! His deep understanding of the science, his passion and enthusiasm, and his dramatic delivery kept us all enthralled. He had answers to all of our questions and made sure everyone was OK at all times. THANK YOU FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!!

The guides, the hotels, the attention to detail made this trip one I want to repeat! The Galakiwi crew made every effort to bring out every effort in me, and it was so rewarding. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it was to have the knowledge of the extraordinary flora, fauna and geology lovingly conveyed to us by the local guides. Interesting enough to keep a great group (thanks for bringing us together) aged 8-61 enlightened, informed and interactive. To visit 4 islands, with all our stuff miraculously arriving in our rooms, at destinations diverse was so impressive.

The trip was amazing. Pepo & Paulo (our guides) were incredible. You need to give them a raise. Seriously, I hope you're paying them a lot cause they deserve it. Everything went extremely smoothly. The Galapagos feel like another planet. Bezos could have just gone there and saved a bunch of money! Can't say enough good things about the guides, staff and others that helped out.

This was a wonderful trip. From the moment we landed on San Cristobal, the adventure began. After a wonderful meal and introduction to the week ahead, we were off biking and then snorkeling with sea lions and sea turtles. The pace is consistent, but not overwhelming, with a reasonable amount of time to rest. Every meal was amazing, and the entire team was fun and also competent. Can't say enough good about our guides Pepo and Paolo. Everyone we interacted with was great. Of course the stars of the show are the islands and their wildlife, and they didn't disappoint. Can't wait for our next trip!

Traveling in Covid times is definitely difficult. But, this trip made all the problems, covid tests, hoops to jump trough worth it. We could not have asked for better guides in Pepo and Paolo. Their passion, knowledge, love of the islands and understanding of our wishes was absolutely stunning. Every day, from early in the morning till late in the evening - our days were filled with activities and adventures, sights to be explored, lessons to be learned and amazing food and drinks to be enjoyed. Experiencing all of this beauty with friends (old and new) made it all the more special. Thank you, Pepo and Active Adventures for being awesome!
