The guides Steve and Grace were incredible. My wife and I were the slowest people in the group but there was always Steve or Grace with us encouraging my wife (who had knee problems) to give us a great experience. They were enthusiastic and it showed in their eyes when they spoke to us. Whatever you are paying them, it's not enough. They made the adventure. Our last trip was 7 years ago but we won't wait 7 years for our next trip.

Our time in Austria with Peter and Ronnie was amazing! Kayaking, paragliding, sliding down an alpine slide, and seeing the beautiful landscape, made this a trip out family will never forget. The guides ensured that all details were taken care of and that all we had to do was enjoy our time. Their knowledge, passion, flexibility and sense of humor made everything about this trip spectacular.

I was a little nervous going into this trip as I didn't feel as physically prepared as I should be, but it ended up being (almost) no problem. The first day was REALLY hot, and we just happened to be on a hike with no shade (none of this was the fault of the guides, Austin Adventures, or anyone else, just timing and chance). The guides were very clear that they were interested in our safety first and demonstrated this many times throughout the trip. But they were also fun to interact with, offered great suggestions and recommendations, and also seemed to be enjoying themselves. The trip itself had a few bumps along the way, mostly due to weather so out of anyone's control, but I had no complaints beyond that. I had a great time.

it was the trip I'd dreamed it would be. Every detail was carefully planned and carried out perfectly. The guides could not have more helpful, informative, or compassionate! We will definitely use Austin Adventures again.

We took our first trip with Austin Adventures this year as a last minute trip after we had to cancel other travel plans due to Covid. We went on the Alaska Family Adventure. We had done group travel in the past, but this trip definitely exceeded our expectations. From the knowledge of the guides to the great food to amazing activities to the little special "extras" that occurred during our trip, it is one that we will remember always!

We have traveled quite a bit and we would rate this trip in our top 2. Our 3 guides Heather,Katie and Jessi went above and beyond to make this trip unforgettable. They were upbeat and truly had every aspect of the trip planned to perfection. No matter what was thrown at them ( and there were quite a few bumps due to staffing shortages ) they came up with a new plan. We were super impressed with their knowledge and commitment to making sure we had an incredible experience. You need to do whatever it takes to retain these three ladies. We would ask for them if possible on our next trip, On a scale of 1-10 they were a 20! It was great having the Austin Angels guide us because we sure felt like we were in heaven.

Iceland was our 6th Active Adventure tour. We have seen so many wonderful places. Iceland is so special because it is truly a land of fire and ice. Where can you go to see magnificent waterfalls and on the same hike arrive at a view of a glacier? Where can you visit a volcano, geyser and just a few miles away witness icecaps with glaciers flowing from them? How about a black beach with icebergs floating and resting on the beach? ICELAND is the answer! The hut to hut hiking experience with the fjords and every changing mountain terrain and view was a thrill to experience. All of these make for a great tour but what makes it a memory of a lifetime are the people and experiencing the culture. I cannot say enough about our guide Thora. She sang Icelandic songs, taught us a dance, told us some of the sagas. Most of all she shared her love of Iceland. It was an unforgettable experience.

We never intended to go to Iceland but decided to do so when our Mont Blanc Trip was cancelled for the second time in two years. What a mistake! Iceland should have been our first choice in the beginning. This is truly a wonderful country and Active Adventures has designed a trip that shows off a lot of what the huge island has to offer. The trip was as advertised in regard to difficulty. Even the last four days with three long hikes back to back was managed by our guides so that everyone was successful. It was a wonderful time indeed.

We booked a trip with Active Adventures, New Zealand to Iceland in July 2021. The experience was one of the best we've ever experienced. This is our second trip with this tour group and once again it delivered an experience that was tailored to each individual's abilities that were on the trip. Our experienced guides became great friends and navigating the complicated travel caused by COVID was handled efficiently and safely by those taking care of us. First-class trekking was experienced as well as some very challenging days. All in all, it was worth every dollar and Krona spent!

The trip was perfect. The guides were outstanding and took care of all our needs and then some. I had high expectations for the trip and it was better than I could have imagined. The hotels were great - the food that the guides provided was also more than expected. The most important thing was that always felt safe and supported. Grace and Steve were professional, friendly, and fun...can't ask for more than that.

Yosemite National Park is an amazing place, and this trip took us to a wide variety of places - forests, lakes, mountains, water falls, canyons, etc. The hiking was challenging in some spots but definitely doable and the views from the top of the domes and various peaks, as well as looking up from the valley, could take your breadth away. The accommodations were great, particularly considering that usually hotels near the entrances of national parks are modest at best. While this was my first trip with Austin Adventures, I have been on numerous active travel group trips and I have always concluded that the trip guides/leaders are the biggest factor in my overall enjoyment of the trip. That was the case here as well. Grace and Steve were outstanding leaders. Not only did they have all the requisite knowledge about the area and skills to run a group trip, but they genuinely wanted to make sure we were all having a great time and our needs were met. They were enthusiastic, encouraging in a non-pushy way, had great senses of humor and were able to adapt the schedule as necessary to ensure we had the best experience possible - which was really important given the staffing challenges this summer in and around the national parks.

Our Yellowstone trip was the perfect adventure for a grandmother and her 18 year old grandson! It was a well organized trip which kept us on the move seeing exciting things at every turn. The guides were wonderful and well informed. The only drawback was having to move hotel/lodges every night.

It was an absolutely perfect trip. Our guides, David, Maxie, and Brooke, literally took care of everything. They were so knowledgeable and made everything fun and exciting, while always being safe. We got to see the many amazing sights of Yellowstone but without fighting the crowds. And, the adventures were fantastic. Our kids, ages 9 and 10, loved it so much. They cried saying goodbye to our guides at the end of our week. That
