It took a pandemic for me to go see the incredible beauty that is in my own backyard in North America! Fantastic trip and amazing display of mother nature's artistry.

This was my first trip with Active Adventures, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. I was really impressed by the guides’ knowledge and attention to detail. The other travelers were very friendly and helpful also. What an amazing adventure. I would love to do it again and again!!!

We went for a shorter 5 day trip, which included a 2 day 1 hike at Siberia Valley. It was our first backpacking experience, and we enjoyed it thoroughly! Natasha, Astrid and Lucy were excellent guides, who took really good care of the group.

This was the inaugural Snow Leopard trip, so as with any new venture there were a few hiccups and rough spots along the way--but not to worry! Trip guide Dan and his country guides Arjun and Gangchu took everything in stride and made adjustments on the fly, creating a seamless and engrossing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, of course, but just as memorable was the variety of cultural experiences to which we were introduced, from remote villages reached only by rutted dirt roads to the dusty confusion of Kathmandu, hot stone baths, ethnic dancing, more temples and stupas than could be counted and a never-to-be forgotten introduction to the Divine Madman and his iconography. Our lodging ran the gamut from guilt-inducing luxury in Kathmandu to more modest but still quite comfortable guest houses in Bhutan, the food was predominantly vegetarian and mostly unexceptional but satisfying, and the company--guides, fellow travelers and hosts--warm and welcoming.

I guess I really didn't know what to expect, as we have travelled to exotic places (Zanzibar, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Peru, etc.) and done lots of adventurous things (climbed Kilimanjaro, hiked Huana Picchu, trekked mountain gorillas, etc.) but never been as challenged as on the W Trek!! To put it bluntly, it kicked my butt!! Or I should say, it tried to, but with the gracious and constant support of the other 8 "guests" and our three tremendous and encouraging Active Adventure staff (Alvaro, Andrea and Paulina) I made it!! The hikes for me were very challenging, as I have poor balance and a huge fear of falling down (and for good reason as I have broken my shoulder and my wrist while hiking) so I take my time and am very cautious.

The sights were incredible!!! During these days of Covid stay-at-home, which started shortly after our return home, I often wonder if this was all a dream! If so, it was the best dream one could ever have! Beyond every turn there was another spectacular view!
I enjoyed staying at the refucios, which added to the sense of adventure. But I must admit, by day four I was so happy I could get a massage for my sore legs and toes! (which I have never had before in my life!).

After the W Trek, the rest of the trip was a "piece of cake" but still very active and challenging. I so enjoyed the variety of activities, including the kayaking and the mountain biking!

Best of the trip was the people. We were a group of 11 (ranging in age from 31 to mid-70's) and none of us knew each other before the trip but are now friends! We so enjoyed getting to know our guides also and learn more about their countries and their lives.

In my many adventures, this Patagonia trip was truly special!!

Most exciting and challenging adventure trip I've ever taken. A solid five-stars. We hiked, biked, snorkeled and subterranean-tubed all over New Zealand's beautiful north island. The sights during the19 Km Tongariro Alpine Crossing were amazing. Our guides, Liana and Lauren, were the best. Both are fountains of New Zealand cultural and archeological history. They kept us safe and anticipated all of our needs. If I find the right woman, I'll bring her to New Zealand with me for another Active Adventures trip!!

This was the most amazing trip! We enjoyed multiple days of snorkeling, hiking, biking, kayaking interlaced with visits to various wildlife areas to view birds, giant tortoises, iguanas. The activities were well coordinated with transportation and meals. We would fort example eat breakfast, after breakfast, transportation would be available to take us to an area for kayaking; then we would snorkel, go to lunch, immediately after lunch transportation to an area for hiking, then to an another area to learn about wildlife and history of the Galapagos; then return to hotel for a brief rest, then a coordinated dinner. we would pre-order meals for the day. Meals would be served upon arrival, then transportation available to the next activity to minimize waiting and maximize time for activities and learning. Our guide Pepo was extremely professional, friendly, patient and started his fabulous knowledge of natural history. He was very attentive for those of us who had not snorkeled on our 3 or 4 snorkeling events. The scenery, wildlife, land and boat transportation was excellent. Hotel accommodations were first class. Everything about this trip exceeded my expectations. I have shared by excitement and utmost satisfaction with several friends to encourage them to visit the Galapagos and especially to be sure to request Pepo as their guide.

From day one the trip was well planned and executed. Transitions were seamless and there was no wasted time. Our guide, Pepo, and the supporting staff were very knowledgeable and interesting. The places we stayed, the people we met, the views we enjoyed, the food we ate, the education we gained, and the wildlife we encountered were ALL above and beyond any expectations I had.
